bee2.io LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates SCOUTb2, a browser extension for web quality analysis. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our extension and website.

Client-Side Processing

Account Data We Store

• Email address
• Subscription status (FREE or PRO)
• Referral records (credits earned/used)
• Paddle customer ID (for billing)

We do NOT store passwords. Authentication is managed by Supabase using magic links or OAuth (Google/GitHub).

Usage Analytics

• Extension usage patterns (anonymized)
• Feature usage statistics
• Error logs for debugging

What We Don't Collect

• Scan results: Stored locally on your computer, not our servers
• Reports or website data: Never leave your browser
• Page content: We do not store the HTML, text, or images from pages you scan
• Personal browsing history: We only see URLs you explicitly scan with our extension
• Form data: We do not capture any data you enter into web forms
• Passwords: We never see or store your passwords (managed by Supabase)

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve the SCOUTb2 service
• Process your subscription and payments
• Send you scan results and notifications (if enabled)
• Respond to your support requests
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our extension
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

AI Processing (PRO Users)

PRO subscribers receive AI-powered insights generated by Anthropic's Claude API. When you use AI features:

• Scan results are sent to Anthropic for analysis
• Anthropic does not train on your data (per their commercial terms)
• AI-generated insights are stored with your scan results
• You can delete your scan history at any time

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase: Database and authentication provider
• Paddle: Payment processing (they handle all billing data)
• Anthropic: AI analysis for PRO users (scan results only)
• Cloudflare: Hosting and CDN services
• Legal authorities: If required by law or to protect our rights

Data Retention

• Account data: Retained until you delete your account
• Scan results: Stored locally on your computer in chrome.storage.local (max 10 MB). Older reports are automatically deleted when storage limit is reached. We do not retain scan results on our servers.
• Billing records: Retained for 7 years per tax regulations
• Anonymous analytics: Retained indefinitely

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your scan history (JSON/CSV)
• Opt out of email notifications
• Withdraw consent at any time

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Encryption at rest for sensitive data

• Authentication (session management)
• Preference storage (theme, settings)
• Security (CSRF protection)

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

International Users

SCOUTb2 is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We comply with GDPR for EU users and provide equivalent protections for all users worldwide.

Children's Privacy

SCOUTb2 is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice in the extension.
